FAQs

Your questions, answered

Everything you need to know before your first visit. Still unsure? Just give us a call.

No. Physiotherapy is a self-referral profession, so you can book directly with us without seeing your GP first. If you're claiming through private health insurance, some insurers ask for a GP referral before your first appointment — we recommend checking your policy, and we're happy to advise.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that lets us access and move the area being treated. For lower-limb or back problems, shorts are ideal; for shoulder or neck issues, a vest top helps. We have gowns available if needed, and your comfort and dignity are always respected.
Most people need between 3 and 6 sessions, though this varies with the condition and how long it's been present. Simple problems can resolve in 1–2 sessions; post-surgical or long-standing issues may take longer. After your first assessment we'll give you an honest estimate and a clear treatment plan — we never sell sessions you don't need.
Yes. We're recognised by Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, WPA and most major UK insurers. You'll usually need an authorisation code from your insurer before your first appointment. We can bill some insurers directly — please ask when you book.
An initial assessment (45–60 minutes) is £75 and includes diagnosis and the start of your treatment plan. Follow-up sessions (30 minutes) are £55. Sports massage is £50 for 30 minutes. We're transparent about pricing with no hidden fees, and you'll always know the cost before you commit.
Your first appointment is a full assessment. Your physiotherapist takes a detailed history, examines how you move, and diagnoses the cause of your problem — not just the symptoms. You'll usually begin hands-on treatment the same session and leave with a clear plan and exercises to start at home.
Yes — back pain is one of the most common problems we treat. Physiotherapy addresses the root cause, whether that's a joint, disc, muscle imbalance or posture issue, using a mix of hands-on treatment, targeted exercise and advice. The large majority of back pain settles without injections or surgery when treated early and correctly.
We're on London Road in central Sevenoaks, a short walk from the railway station. There's free on-site parking for patients, and the clinic is fully accessible on the ground floor.
